Hi! I am an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. I have a PhD from INSEAD and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B).
I teach the core MBA course on ‘Leading Self and Teams’, and the elective on ‘Negotiation Analysis’.
My research examines topics related to social and economic inclusion, with a focus on women entrepreneurs, marginalised communities, and frontline workers in India. In particular, I study what drives people to pursue and sustain livelihoods — exploring themes such as motivation, social networks, and the institutional contexts that shape opportunity and constraint.
I conduct field experiments/RCTs, lab-in-the-field studies, and survey-based research to generate insights that are academically rigorous and relevant for policy and practice. I collaborate closely with entrepreneurs, development organizations and government agencies to identify challenges, co-design contextually grounded solutions, and evaluate the impact of programmes at scale.
I am an active member of the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society, and serve on the Editorial Review Board of the Strategic Management Journal.
